RE: OLD MAN NEEDS BACK IN.
Hi stripes,
Thanks for the reply, you have given me something to think about.
As for flying skills you ar right , what does intermediate mean?
My first kit was a top flite headmaster sport 40,with a 60 on it,
60 inch span,do not know area,semi-symmetrical high wing about
7lbs. very little dihedral, flew and landed like it was on a wire.
I could not learn on a trainer box with the instructor telling me
to go up when the plane was going down, daa. So i went out with a non
flying friend took off into a south wind made a few rounds then landed.
Did this a few days then one day the wind was out of the north, took
off to the north landed from the south,it felt real werid but i did ok.
Next was something like a sig kougar 60 size low wing, did not fly this long
enough to get real comfortable with it.You are right, that was about 20 yrs.
ago.Ijust do not like 40 size flat bottom wing floaters.
Again you are right about the high buck engine and plane,i will look for a
less expensive setup. thanks again.
