Default RE: Steering Cable

I know about the cable tension as I have spring airs and if they are too tight it will prevent the gear from locking down. Sean I am talking about where the cable goes through the hole in the steering arm. Do you pull the cable tight and move the swage fitting up close to the arm? or is the swage fitting off aways from the steering arm? Do you understand?

Let me clarify one more thing...the steering arm on the nose gear itself.

Thanks
