We do allow threads if they tie in to RC in some way or another. My guess (and I have not read it) is that frances thread probably discusses flying fields and damage at some point. I know that not every post in that thread or any other for that matter always touches on RC but as long as the theme of the thread has some general tie in we typically allow it.

On the other one I would think the only RC related ones are where members have related jobs in the hobby field, aeronautics, electronics or something in some way tied in or where their knowledge is somehow tied to the hobby. Obviously if a guy is a veterinarian or a bricklayer their posts are going to be unrelated but that begs the question of how brutally diligent we really want to be here.
