Default Ripmax Rapier question

I have a new Ripmax Rapier, installing a new OS 50 engine. Should be a good flyer. My question is regarding the elevon linkage and servo throw.

I have not yet flown the thing so I have absolutely no idea how much throw is enough, but when I put the stick to the top left, the servo throw hits the fuselage at the rear. Setting the EPA on the radio needs to to 50% of throw to take it off of the fuselage and prevent servo over-torque, bending of the control wires, and so on.

Has anybody figured out how to fix this? I am using an Airtroncs radio with the high-torque ball-bearing coreless servos (yeah, the expensive non-digital ones) and the long servo arms (five hole types) with the control wire on the outer most hole, so it is all the way out there at the end of the servo arm.

If you have any suggestions, I surely would appreciate input.

Thanks.

Dick Soucy.
