Default RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear

Here's a photo of a friends Bear that he test flew yesterday. A little about his set up... he's running Robart pneumatic retracts on the mains with the mechanical retract for the tail wheel. He got rid of the stock Robart tail wheel wire and used the one that came with the kit as it looked better. For power he used a YS 1.40 (just the standard one) running a 16 x 8 (I think that's what it was) Master Airscrew three bladed prop. He did have to add some lead to the nose to balance but I'm not sure how much was needed. The flight was uneventful, he took off retracted the gear, made a few passes, gear down, then greased it in. He said he never got above half throttle through out the flight, even still the Rare Bear was moving along at a pretty good clip. Of the 5 screws holding the cowling on, only 2 were remaining after the first flight, other than that everything was A-OK.
