Miguel,
When I first saw the prototype of the Multiplex 3030, the predecessor of the 4000, I assumed it was just a mock up. When they told me that this was the finished article I thought that they were joking. IT was soooo bland.[:'(]
Then I read what it could do.
I was astounded!
Then I bought one.
I was even more astounded.
Then they brought out the 4000 and I asked what more could I possibly want than I had from my 3030? They told me. I was (you guessed it!) astounded. I bought it there and then.
Now I don't care how it looks. Sure it doesn't have the "Bling" of the far eastern sets but I was not looking for "Male Jewelery" at the time. IMO anyone who needs to have a set with "Bling" must surely be under endowed in a certain deptartmet!

You dont look at the set when you are flying and the looks contribute nothing to functionality, reliability or range.
As for how it feels due to its size, as Harry C has stated this is a non issue. But don't believe Harry or me, Put the short sticks on and try it.
As for the MC24 suggested by Johnny, this too is a great radio and has a few features that the MC 4000 does not have such as the help function. But for the ultimate in mixing and switching capability the MC 4000 is currently unparalleled.
Try It, you'll like it[8D]
Regards,
John.
