Default RE: MVVS engines, any good??

My pal runs the MVVS49 ... I have been helping him tuning it and all. The engine is easy to tune and idle is pretty low for a 2C, only thing I do not like abou the engine is the looks and finish. The pipe sucks as the screws can come loose if you do not check it periodically. Also, please use some thred lock on the low end needle, that too can drop off.

Performance wise we tached it at 13,600 on an APC 10x7 with 5% nitro. Remember I am in the tropics and its hot and humid here, you would get 14K on your end!

Seen the MVVS90 also, not impressed but then again the guy running it is not a good flyer who knows how to tune an engine well. Seen the 160 glow run with the MVVS full lenght tuned pipe. Engine is new hence only turning 8,500 RPM but its so easy to start by back flipping her using the prop or spinner!

Would I buy it? No ... its personal preferrence NOT based on performance. Based on performance and price its a gerat engine to own! Bonus is this ... they run great in 5% nitro!!!
