RE: another paint question
I just want to put my $0.02 worth in here BEFORE someone messes up.
If the paint is LABLED ACRYLIC LACQUER or ACRYLIC ENAMEL it is fuel proof. If it doesn't say acrylic you are taking a chance on whether or not it is fuel proof. FWIW - I do not suggest/recommend mixing lacquer and enamel paints.
Another possibility you may want to look into is water base polyurethane. I spray 2 coats over my latex paint jobs and I can verify it is good to 10% nitro (all that I use). I have also read several reports that say it is good to 15% nitro.
