Default Engine Positioning

I am in the process of building a Tiger 2. The motor mount supplied with the kit allows for a significant fore / aft positioning of the motor (holes need to be drilled for the mount and do not allow adjustment once in place). The plans do not indicate a preferred fore / aft position.

The motor being installed in a GMS 47.

I believe the motor should be positioned to help balance the plane. Indications from other posts on RC Universe indicate the plane to be tail heavy and as such suggest the motor to be mounted as far forward on the mount as possible. Any problems with position as far forward as possible? Any suggestions on how to approximate the balance point prior to final assembly.

Thanks for all your help.

Neil
