OK..........Justin......nobody else here is heretical enough to say it but have you looked over at the SPAD forum? (Simple Plastic Airplane Design) A lot of these designs are highly aerobatic and can be built for $20-40 depending on what you have around your home. The planes are pretty crash resistant and don't require anymore tools to build (except for something to flash the Coroplast-I use a candle lighter! *LOL*) Here's what you'd need roughly:
1 or 2 yardsticks for wingspars=$3
depending on design an amount of Coroplast (available at your local sign shop)=$15
again, depending on design 10' length of RW-200 downspout from Genova Products (available at Do-It-Best, Lowes, and others-10' is enough for several planes)=$10
Smooth plastic cutting board (for motor mounts/firewalls)=$4
