Back to flying!!!
I used to fly my Morris knife pretty well and I was still learning 3d. About 2 years ago I had shoulder surgery and quit flying. Well, I'm on vacation this week and I decided to get back to it. I tried (and tried...) to get my Realflight G2 going on my new computer to practice. Turned out the disk was scratched and I have to upgrade to the usb version. So, no sim for awhile. I was nervous about risking my Morris Knife and Saito 72. There is a real knowledgeable guy at RC Hobbies in Ft. Lauderdale (I cannot recall his name-hey- it's been 2 years!) and I talked to him yesterday about trying electric 3d. Anyhow, he said you get rusty but don't forget how. So today I took my plane over to the college field and flew! It was fantastic. I had WAY too much fun! I could even hover- well, sorta almost! The only mishap was one landing where I misjudged and came down on the far side of a big bush thicket- into the bush-no damage (well, lots of scrapes on ME).
Any of you guys who have been out for awhile, c'mon! Jump back in! It was NO harder than 2 years ago.
Woo-hooo! I forgot how fun this is! I'm still trying to get this silly grin off my face.
