Default RE: Goldberg Extra 300

cafusin,

I have 2 Goldberg Extra 300's. I have seen canopies tinted using RIT brand clothing dye. You follow the directions on the box for clothes and take it out when it is dark enough. One of my Extras has a totally opaque canopy. The inside of the canopy is painted black and it looks pretty cool if you don't want to fool wit the interior.

My airplanes are 6 and 7 years old and I fly them the most of any of my airplanes. I have used OS 91 and OS 120 4 stokes. I love the way they fly on the 91's. They are so precise and smooth they look great. Vertical performance is not super everything else is great. They are just not as good on the 120's.

I fly off grass and bought the Stan's Fibretech aluminum gear, mounted it as far forward as I could and tilted it forward. The stock gear position is impossible on grass.

Of course I have fiberglass cowl and pants but otherwise I built it exactly like the plans on recommendation from other owners. Dave Patrick designed it so it must be right.
