I had one of the plywood blocks come loose. I used the technique they suggested, using microballons and epoxy, and it just didn't grab. Clean the area to be glued inside really well and use slowere setting epoxy. When I fixed these I layed a small piece of fiberglass cloth across the plywood to secure it. I've not had a problem since.
As for the wing joining, coat the wing roots with epoxy AND epoxy the wing joiner. Clamp it just like in the second diagram.
