Hmmm. It really depends on the design (how many colors, etc.). And I also vary the psi depending on what I am spraying. So there are MANY variables at play.
Mine is actually only a 2 gallon tank. I would say on average it cycles at least 3-4 times per color. So using that math, you would use 12 gallons of air on a 3 color body.
Regardless of what you end up with, make sure you get a pressure regulator and a water trap.
