Here's the Taurus 2.6 engine I plan to mount on my Yak. I'm told the 52cc is only an ounce more. This engine has a double web crank supported on both ends, so no bearing or crank problems.

I am debating whether to use Taurus 52cc or the DA 50. Do you know the Taurus 52cc would fit in the cowl without much cutting? Is the Taurus 52cc a newer version than the previous one, that is why it is only 1 oz more than the 2.6?
