I've used them with no problems on ignition... but though they are rated at 10 amp... well... let's just say that ain't the case.
Even if it was capable of it, the single connector is only good for 3.5 amp contiuous... weakest link...
I did some tests on my Yak with the Watts Up meter... sitting still it drew a little over 1 amp... Throwing the surfaces around simultaneously spiked it up to 2.5 or so... and that's under no stress... In the air peaks of 10 amp or more are quite possible, with average being 2+ amps...
That's on a plane this size... and for me that's too marginal on a plane with this much invested. Certainly worth the extra $20 on the receiver.
Again, on the igniiton, I don't see a problem using it.
