Default Wagstaff Extra 300

qspilot,

The wings are slid onto the wing tube and then two nylon bolts go thru the fuslage into the wing to hold them on. The stab has screws that screw into the tubes.

AJF--2,

I would not use JB Weld.

Soldering is not hard if you use plumbing type flux instead of acid liquid flux and use silver bearing solder that is sold for plumbing today. Just heat up the joint without turning the flux black and keep touching the solder to the joint until it flows. Let it cool without disturbing it and clean off the residual flux.

I use Stay Clean brand paste flux and have very good luck. I use the same flux at work for plumbing and soldering the corners of drain pans.

If I can clarify anything let me know.

About my previous post, I'm just really bummed. I have been waiting since last year for this plane and it looks like I'll have to wait until November to get a replacement. I will call Great Planes tomorrow.
