I've heard that quote, about the project not costing the AMA any money. However, from the responses I'm seeing, it has cost the AMA some credibility and good will.
I wasn't particularly enthused about getting this "Free Offer". Nor am I happy when insurance solicitations come in clearly marked with ASME sources. I wish AMA, SAE, ASME, etc. would NOT hand out my address to these solicitors.
Just my opinion.
