I flew a guy a few weeks back on a nexstar. He did very well. He bought a Eflight Funtana, built it, I did one test hop on it. Flew it a second flight and handed him the transmitter (no buddy box) he flew it around and landed the plane. He is now on his 5 or 6th flight now and is 100% solo, doing great.

It just takes a few basics and once you have those, you can be on your own.
