Default RE: Cen Genesis So/So Dissapointment

madmark: the shop didnt assemble the trucks....

there is and has been a genesis in my lhs for about 3-4 months now - the shocks are leaking on that too, some screws are finger tight, 2 are actually missing, and the shop doesnt stock spares either. i wonder how well it will run...

u guys in the US want to count urselves lucky, in the uk we have nowhere to send the things back to, emails are also ignored, and i will be blowed if im gonna ring cen up when i have a prob, as for the price and quality of spares.... oh dear. and i only owned a cen rally.

there is no way in hell i would consider the genesis after all the bad reports that have been posted, the materials used, and the cost and availability of spares. it could have been a good truck - oh and they retail for around £550 here... lmfao - its cheaper to buy and run a 1990 honda civic for gods sake.

i would however like to thank: Team Associated, Team Losi, Mugen Seiki, Ofna, Traxxas, OS engines, GWS, Acoms, Venom Racing, Protech and Imex for supplying much higher quality parts for less than the price of the equivalent cen items to replace broken or substandard parts on my "cen" truck. the only standard cen parts i now have on the truck are the wishbones and the diffcasings, oh and a floppy rally shell. says it all really.

not that any of that helps u poor gen owners out, just wanted u to know that u certainly are not alone in ur dissappointment with cens products.
