Default Hobby Lobby Oracover

I've always used monokote to cover my planes but I decided to give Oracover a try. I'm told that this is the same material as ultracote, it says its manufactured in England. All I can say is WOW this stuff is so easy to apply. It takes curves better, shrinks easier and much nicer to work with than the monokote. It's almost impossible to get a wrinkle in it. I'm using it to cover balsa sheeted foam. Trying to get monokote to shrink over a sheeted foam surface is not an easy job. It takes alot of heat and you run the risk of damaging the foam underneath. Multi color trim schemes are a snap, a little acetone is all that is needed to join the pieces, then iron them down. I was also able to place trim pieces on with just heat, without the annoying bubbles like monokote. I chose red, white and blue and was very pleased with the richness of the colors. The only drawback I've found is that it is only available in 2m length rolls, a 10m roll would be better. Only time will tell if it is as durable as the monokote. I will definitely continue to use the oracover instead of the monokote.
