Here is a direct quote from the DA 50 owners manual........"isolate the charge circuit from the ignition while charging the batteries." Does this mean don't charge the batteries through a charge jack built into a switch? Would the switch in the off position be the "isolation"

If you have the JR JRPA004 charge switch then yes, if it is another manufactures switch I'm of no help.
