Default RE: Himax 2025/4200 w/ 35A ESC

OK

You guys were right. The set up need the Thunder Power 2100. Now the plane flys great. My problem was that I thought the Mah rating of a battery pack only indicated how much energy the battery could store. I didn't realize that the Mah also indicated the amount of energy that the battery could send out. Now I think I get it.

So....
with a draw of 15A on the Himax 2025 with a 9X6 prop
11.1 v on the 3 cell Lipo
15 X 11.1 = 166 Watts
125 Watts per lbs. needed for sport flying
166/125 = 1.33 lbs or 21 oz
Since my Formosa is about 17 oz flying weight it now has the power it needed.

Thanks again.
