My new Eurofighter
Hi guys,
I was supposed to be in Hungary now, but i did not finish the plane in time. However it is almost finish now, so i had nine flights on it yesterday and it was a dream to fly ( after i had reduced the elevator, aileron and canard travel drastic) . I have a SIMJET 3000 custom, it delivers 14.5 kg. of thrust at 128`rpm. i use a Tamjet dual pipe
with an awesome sound and great performance. I also have the cockpit interior made by Ralf Schneider (that is one piece of art). And of course i have the decals from Ralf as-well. The nozzles is from Switserland (also sold by Dreamworks rc) they look nice, but i am a bit unhappy with the very visible joints. I have a working air brake- and it brakes, believe me! The plane weighs 14.8 kg and i have 4 liters of fuel on board- but still i think it have punch in it. I use Bob Violet`s smooth brake valve and B V high flow valve for the landing-gear, very nice products. I had a problem with the gear/door sequencer from Mini hobby, the problem was with the door servo, sometimes it worked and sometimes not. I opened the sequencer before take off and discovered a scary thing: the cable to the door servo wasn`t solded it was just put in place on the print card and held in place by the silicon that holds all servo cables together SCARY. I solded the cable to the printcard and it`s now working perfect ( i guess mine is just a mishap) but if i had taken the plane to the sky and the doors didn`t open i would have to land the plane on it`s belly causing a lot of damages. I will paint the main gears and the inside of the doors this week and head for Arvika Sweden next weekend. hope to see a lot of friends there.
