Well, I got my new tachometer today and after 3 hours of running I got 9200 rpm with zinger pro 20x8 at 1:25 mixture.
Wow, with that power I'll take a dozen of those.
TooLy, I think that tach is made by the same people that make the thrust calculator.
This does sound like a very nice alternative in the 40 class, but there's something wrong with those numbers. They only advertise 4.2HP(@9500) for this engine, which is very misleading. It obviously will have significantly less power at its real operating band down in the 7's. airbatic2000 was right, you'd need around 7 HP to reach these RPM's with that prop. TooLy, have you tried taching it again with someone else's tach to see what you come up with? Does anyone else have any numbers on this engine? bigsport, did I miss if you posted numbers?
Thanks.
