Man your Showtime does seem heavy, mine weighed 8lbs 12ozs with the YS110. Maybe just your engine is heavier. Anyways, sounds like you like yours, I certainly do mine. You'll like it even better when you get the engine running right. I had engine trouble with mine at the start also. But last Saturday I was doing some great high allitude blenders with zero throttle until about 20-30 off the ground and then hit the throttle hard and it would just fly out great. What fun and impressive to watch. I love my Showtime.

You felt bad about comparing the Showtime to the UCD? Man, I make that comparison all the time. I love the UCDs too. I have the 60 size and the 46. They are my favorite airplanes. Some people give them a bad rap, mostly, I think, because they are not a precision flying airplane. But for 3D and all around fun, they can't be beat. That's what's important to me. Having fun. The UCDs do that as well as any airplane out there. No reason to no want to compare the Showtime to them.

I can get my Showtime to flat spin (pinwheel) with the SFGs but not without them. The flat spins without the SFGs are nice and flat but a little slower and drop fairly fast. Mine does still have wing rock in harrier and elevators. I think the feeling is the heavier engine on the nose helps this. I can do them but have a fair amount of wing rock even with a little spoileron. The other thing I can't get my ST to do is a rising flat spin. But my UCD will do it....Go figure.

My Showtime does show some kind of weird behavior right at take off. When I'm trying a gentle slowly rising take off the plane lifts off than falls right out of the air, the wheels hit (if I let it fall that far) and then bounces right back up and I go flyinng. I also notice this in turns from into the wind to downwind. If I'm not careful there is a "dead" spot where the plane just loses lift. If I make the turn fast or compensate I hardly notice it, but it's there. I think the wings at certain angles block the wind to the elevators and you lose that elevator authority. Kinda weird. I've noticed it several times. Anybody else notice this problem or have any ideas what causes it. At the risk of comparing the ST to the UCD again...My UCD has never done anything strange like that. Anyways, anybody had the problem or have any ideas what it might be. Pretty small issue really and I love the plane, just curious what it might be.
Thanks
Barry
