Use Debonder made especially for airplane building stuff. They are not as agressive as Acetone
unless the cowl is Gelcoated. Try a small area first. DP
Maybe you should visit the Zap web site and peruse the MSDS for Zap Z-7 Debonder.
The product is 95 to 100 % _acetone_.
