RE: C-160 Transall report-FYI
Well,
long story short is that I sold the camo plane with the four strokes because I was afraid to fly it. At the time, my skills were what I would call amateur and I didn't want to crash and ruin an expensive set of four strokes. A trade came along for a NIB saito 300 twin that I could not pass up.
Since that time, i have improved my skills significantly, all the while regretting the sale of the c160. I came across a good deal on a white c160 and purchased it. This time around, I figured I would go the economical route so that I would not be too nervous about flying a twin for the first time. Hence, the $50 engines. The other reason is that I just dropped $1500 on a Wild Hare extra with DA50, so I didn't have a whole lot of extra funds to burn on hobbies (or so my wife says).
Anyways, I will post some pics and flight report of the new C160 if I can. Winter is rapidly approaching, so I may not fly it this year.
