RE: Saito 100 idle problem
I adjusted my Saito 100 in the same manner as I did my two strokes and it has worked out fine using the sounds of the rpms to nail it down. While the engine is at an idle , I remove or pinch off the fuel line and let the engine quit.
If the rpms increase as the engine quits, the low end is to rich. if the rpms just go down and the engine quits--too lean. Every time you reset that low end adjusment, check the highend, then go back to re adjust the low if necessary.
One other thing is if this is your first fourstroke, they take some getting use to as far as sound , idle and the whole thing. Just the sound of them was giving me concern for a couple months. Sounded like the engine was not runing well when it was.
Most of the 4 strokes I see idling don't have that smooth sound as a 2 stroke and sometimes seems kind of rough like its on the verge of quitting
