I sent a P.M. to the dude on the above link who built the contender without the wing tips... He seemed to be happy with the plane's performance.
I think I like Badger's theory... Guess if I build the wing without the tips I could alway cut the covering off and put the tips on later. Just need to plan for this when covering the wing I guess. [8D]
