RE: Anyone seen this Giant size B24 crash video?
I've watched this video a bunch of times, but tonight, I spent about 10 minutes looking at it. I slowed it down, and paused it in several places. I noticed that when the plane goes into the bank, it appears to me the left aileron is fully deflected up, and the right aileron is not deflected much, if any at all. Anyone know anything about the actual circumstances around this crash? Was it a maiden flight? Yeah, I know he was too slow to make a turn at that point, but what I see when I slow it down leads me in the direction of a mechanical failure. Anybody know? I know it's a fairly old video, so I'm sure someone has info.
