I guess I should introduce myself. My Name is Mike Buffaloe, and am from S.E. Idaho. I have been into RC for many years, and run the local Off Road track here in town. http://www.dmraceway.20m.com (shameless plug). Last winter when the track was covered in snow, I got into park flyers starting with the Tiger Moth, and moved up to the HL Champion, and now fly the Mountain Models Switchback 3D. A few months ago the owner of the LHS asked if I would buddy cord him his Nitro trainer .... never flying Nitro... I backed down, but after telling me "It's not your plane NO BIG DEAL if we crash it", I knew I had nothing to loose! That afternoon I was converted to the 'Slimier' Air craft, and took home my own trainer from his shop. (Sig Kadet + radio and a Super Tiger ringed .40 with a LOUD blow through power pipe for $60!) After countless hours with it, I soon found out that I have pushed it as far as it can go... hence this is why I am asking about the WM P51D. I have lurked in this forum for sometime and have found a lot of well seasoned pilots with a lot of valued input about this plane, over the other possible choices I had in mind.
