Roltech: You don't need a new charger, And if you change over to NIMH the battery gonna say you
have to use a NIMH charger ONLY............. BS I just charged my 2300ma reciever and 2800ma
transmitter battery on the trickle charger I got with my Nextar a year @ a half ago.And there both
NIMH ( All I USE) I asked my LHS this and verified it Through someone at a RC convention we hade
here in Ft Worth, who was selling an assorment of batteries. I use a quick field charger now and then
but if I want a good deep charge I use a wall trickle charger over night. as I said above with that kinda
MA's I can fly ALL DAY without recharging!!!!! (6TO7 hours with 4 to 5 flights an hour) You won't notice
that much more endurance with just 100 more MA or speed or torq, you get those through Volts. Just
in case I called HORIZON 1st because I've never owned JR and yes you can put a 6 volt battery in your
MUSTANG. To see a BIG difference go to at least 1500 ma and 6 volts THEN you'll notice it
Ah, not really sure what you're saying there. I THINK you're saying that you can use the 60-70 ma wall wart charger that came with your entry-level radio to successfully charge 2000+ mAh batteries.

This is NOT true. Yes, you're getting some charge in there. But you'll be nowhere near the capacity of the battery (no matter how long you leave it connected), and it will not last much (if any) longer than the low-cap battery that came with the set-up.

Yes, you can use a "regular" ni-cad charger to charge NiMN batteries; as long as you stay on C/10 rate. If you try to quick-charge a NiMH battery on a ni-cad charger, you will fry the NiMH battery due to differences in the peak detection slope.
