Default RE: New Hanger 9 p-51 mustang **Trainer?!?**

Ok, well it only took me two days to read this enitre thread, wow lots of posts.. My plane has never been flown yet. Checked my wheels, a little wobble, could use some smoothing out. Haven't checked the servos' in the wings yet but plan on giving them a little insurance epoxy. Also be checking out motor mounting bolts and securing them. Going to install the flap servo, why not? Foam rear wheel does suck. On the battery issue, is the current battery that uderpowered, I run digital cameras with almost five times the power and I don't have to worry about my camera's falling from the sky if they're drained. Someone should post a list from a-z on starting from worst to least on the issues that need to be addressed with this plane before flying. Other than the basic set up. I'm talking things that NEED to be looked at. Well I have all winter (live in Minnesota) to wait and tinker with the plane so it I have the time to remedy any issues. In the mean time I have a bunch of motion activated camera's to build, for my hunting obbsesion, and there seems to be enough snow around here now to test the new 160hp motor I dropped in my snowmobile late last season. This looks like a great site for a newcomer to this awesome obbsesion and this thread alone has opened my eyes, quite a bit!! I'm sure I will still go crash and burn a few planes on my private strip before I get serious and try to find an instructor for the p51. Now one of you more knowledgeable guys on this plane start that fix-it-list!!!! I want to thank roltech for getting me rolling in the right direction on this. THANKS!!!!!!

Oh yeah, one last thing. Any good reading for new comers that may help me understand this rc flying better.
