Default RE: Hobby-Lobby's Revo CP Heli

Doran,

It seems like reviews on the Hobby Lobby REVO are few and far between.

I have two of them. One is flying and the other still in the box.

They are very well built helis. The fit and quality of the parts is very good for a ARF heli. The control system is smooth with no binding right out of the box! I am currently building/debugging a MX400 for a clubmate. The quality of the parts (ball links, swashplate) on the REVO is much better. The MX does fly well but it took me a lot more work to make it so. The REVO is slightly smaller than the T-REX and MX 400 but the rotor diameter and tail length are about the same (looks identical by eyeballing them). The REVO is also a little lighter than the MX or Rex this gives it more climb performance but also wind effects it more.

Hobby Lobby has the REVO on sale and it is well worth the sale price. Parts are also cheap.

The REVO has a shaft drive tail but I have not had any problem with it or on my other helis. I do pay careful attention to gear mesh when building.

My other electric helis are: Hornet 1 fixed pitch, Hornet CP, Hornet 2.
Ones I have built or flown: Blade CP, MX400, T-Rex
