The Futaba Skysport should work perfect with the RS6UL receiver -if- he uses a JR crystal designed for this JR radio.

This receiver will not work with the other guy's JR radio.

This receiver is negative shift only and cannot be made positive shift to work with a JR or Airtronics transmitter.

I can see why this gentleman had trouble.

I read the online PDF manual for his receiver and I looked at the combo outfit he bought and all the individual components. NOWHERE does it caution about using only the correct JR single conversion crystal for this radio or that the radio is even single conversion for that matter. Seems like Horizon missed the boat with their new web site set up?

All this information, I'm sure, has been talked about on RCU somewhere before.
