Just Bought *CT5*
Hi, im just getting back into RC after a many yr hiatis... have a few Nitro MTs, and wanted to include a good road car into my garage, so i may apease a serious SPEED ADDICTION i can not otherwise get. After looking around, reading reviews, options, performance, ect, i opted to purchase the new CEN CT-5. My question to you is simple. well maybe. heh.
What are some of the MUST HAVE UGs i need to do to make this a solid handleing, controllable car.
I will be using a JR RS310 receiver. I use a JR XS3 Pro controller and have the 310 in my main MT already. With the XS3 Pros 10 memory setup, i have room for my 2 trucks, 2 boats, and a Sand Dragster Project im planning, as well as the CT-5.
I also plan on UG to coreless Digital HT servo for steering and throttle/break. i have a JR High Torque Z9000DT on my Maxx and it works great. this may be overkill here, maybe a z590m would be sufficient, but i think i d rather stay Coreless HT Digital for Steering and a Coreless HS for throttle/break position. what say you?
I suspect some of the first things i ll be looking for is suspension, wheels/rims/,bulks, and shocktowers maybe. what have your experiences been?
As far as use for this, i plan on mostly lot racing with some buddies, nothing ranked. at least not this year. unless i take to it like a pig in mud, then who knows...
Anyways, here is a basic jist of what i have and how im planning on useing it for now. any advice you can offer as far as set up tips, including special tuning techniques for this Car or other "Tricks" you may of happeded upon that help with get this car set up and running fine... also, any UGs, Hopups, NEED TO GET ASAP items, or just plain info that you would like to share, that would be surpurb... post pics as well, especially any Mods that may be required to, shall we say, "tweek the stock setup to get things right".
Looking forward to checking out this 70+ mph ride, which if it does 70, that means 90 is just up the road.
