yep, the slick is awesome and available in multiple sizes 42", 51" (just was reschemed), 59" on its way at end of March, 71" ( just reschemed and replaced the 70"), 89" and new 104"
can be flown sport style and work your way into 3D.... I love my 42" .... durability in learning goes to the 41" Edge... both fly on the same power plants and servos.... excellent plane to grow into

if you have success and enjoy flying the slick, then absolutely.... you will enjoy it...
very nice harriers with the straight forward edge.... they did a very good job working with the wings and tail to minimize coupling

Srt, I would go with the Edge like wedge said.. Coupling really doesn`t matter to a newbie..Hell, I was unsure what it was about 3 months ago...Th Edge is cheaper as well.

I want to say its kinda the deal when you roll a plane to the left ,it rolls left on its wing tip and goes on straight and doesn`t bank.. Someone can correct me on that for sure...Thats jus thow I get it... Or on a knife edge it stays straight..

I have owned both the Funtana and 260.... they are decent planes.... votes go to the Edge in flight and durability especially when it comes to landing gear
i guess I can offer that as my opinion and like many have flown those two planes... set up nicely they fly well
for the most part you can move the motor/esc/battery into the Edge and enjoy the heck out of it
what you learn quickly is that you should not place the S75 or HS55 servos that may have been in your eflite birds into the Edge... the surfaces are awesome and can be tamed for the newer 3D pilot and do well with an HS65MG... That servo can be significantly more expensive than the other servos mentioned
3DHS recommends the HS45HBs which are a karbonite gear with a "slip instead of strip" gearing.... they work very well in their foamies, Edges, and 42 Slicks... they come with longer wiring and that can eliminate servo extensions in the wing....
coming in at about $13 depending on vendor they are en excellent investment... want a tougher set up? go HS45 in the wings and HS65MGs in the tail and elevator

Well I pulled the trigger and have an Orange 3DHS Edge on the way. I’m using all the gear from my totaled Electrifly Edge. Hope it will fit OK. We’ll see how a Rimfire .10 works…specks look similar to recommended equipment.
I ran the recommended APC 10X7 with the Rimfire and worked well on that A/C with the 1250 KV
The Omega 72 has 1100 KV and runs 11X5.5 to 12X6, larger props
Question: the Omega can run a larger prop due to the lower KV (rpm)?? Will my Rimfire with a 10X7 produce as much, less or more thrust?

the recommendations on most motors are guides based on testing. its also based on what equipment was run with them (ESC, plane weight, etc)
the Omega 72g works very well on 11x5.5 with a 35 amp esc. I also run mine on 12x6 with same ESC or maybe a 40amp just for some head space on the amps
biggest issue guys run into on the Omega and other motors is they fire battery after battery after battery through the plane because they only have a short time to fly or the other reality being that the plane is so darn fun
, they neglect to check motor temps and don't allow the motor to cool down. this will kill any motor and I have seen guys toast motors on addictions as well doing the same.
so the answer to your question is that the Omega can run a larger prop because the people choosing to do so are not flying WOT the whole flight and using it for more slow to medium speed 3D and are treating their equipment nicely by letting motors cool between flights. If you want to fly it more sport or racing edge style, you can prop up while decreasing diameter and go with the 11x5.5 or 10x7
The Omega is a very nice motor for the money and I have 2 of them in my Edges and 42 Slick. I have also flown the Torque's and Rimfires as well... when I fly 12x6 I have also went with a xoar or Vox wood prop and that is lighter than an APC so that helps the motor too. as we move towards the warmer temperatures, all the more important to let the motor cool down (any motor you have) and put another plane in the air. often tough if this is the only plane you are flying
hope that helps

When you look inside the tube, can you see what the obstruction is? An inch in you should be able to see it with a light? Might have to sand glue down, or maybe something fell inside?

when you open up the hole using a soldering iron to cut the covering, a piece of the left over covering can get in the tube
make sure you clear that opening... take an exacto and go around the hole without cutting the tube
give a gentle twist (rotate) and it should go in, or start on the other side and do the same...all it takes is a sliver of covering in the tube and it will stop just as Urbanking stated

Well here’s my 41” Edge with its 2 big brothers.
3DHS 48” Extra and 48” Velox
The rimfire .10 works great, goes like a rocket!
I love the 3D hobby Shop aircraft, want a 3DHS pattern plane next
