you are probably going to want to run at least 8 cells or even more to really bring the power out of a brushless

if you want to go brushless go to at least 8 cells, brushless like the juice, the AXI 2808/16 would be a great choice, I run it on a Mad Dog that came with a Cobalt 400 27 turn, I run it with a 3 cell TP LiPo and it blows everything away, unlimited vertical.

I'm running a PJS1000 - Jeti30 ESC and a Tanic 3S 2150. 11x4.7 APC prop
Unlimited vertical. Very fast. You need to land with just a tad of power on with the Bipe. Stopped prop will act as a brake slightly.
Although the plane hovers in at a nice slow speed , the wing loading is a bit higher with biplanes in general.

The PJS 1000 is an 85g 1000Kv motor rated for 25A... so...this is pretty close: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...00kv_380w.html
