RE: any 3DFoamy pilots out there?
I have the Microbat from Northeast Sailplane. Fairly easy to set up and pretty durable (have taken several hard hits with it with little to no damage). Between 12 and 13 onces, the axi 2208-34 is a great matchup. A few friends have 2Cools from NESP and have axi 2212 motors in them. They take a hit on weight and it doesn't seem to be worth it. Both planes fly great, but it might not be as precise as you wish. For us, we would rather have a durable plane than have a pile of backups at our sides.

HI 3dandpatternflyer,
What plastics did you use for your CAP canopy?
Thanks Air3d44

JohnVH. To answer your question. I am on my 2nd edge from insanefoamy and they rock. What a blast. It's nice to put those giant gassers down once in a while and just let loose.

I changed my order and will be trying his newer Mini 3DFoamy's. So they should be 32" wingspan, Extra's 300LX design. I'll see how I like them compared to a shockflyer.

I've been flying 44" span Yaks from FoamyFactory. I don't even bother to decorate them anymore just fly, fly, fly. When I biff'em I epoxy back together and once they get heavy I cut and build a new one.
Razor 2500
GWS geardrive on "D" 6.6:1 but I just switched to the MPI (Himax) on 6:1
GWS or APC12x6
2100 3S Thunderpower is good for 18 minutes
CC Phoenix25
HS-55
FMA reciever
I've built four of them and it has improved my flying tremendously. At 16 Oz. they outfly all the Shockies I have tried. I highly recomend this set-up. I only need to get some more foam and I'll cut another one, my friends keep stuffing them for me.

Levi
I think my son has more fun w his (your) planes than with the $150.00+ ARF I bought him for his B'day. He hasn't flown a Glow bird in 4 months.

The FoamtanaS is my first and so for I'm getting the hover thing down in only a half dozen flights. With a 39in. span and a 13oz AUW it does amazing things. Battery is the TP 730 and a AXI 2212-34 on a APC 11x4.7. Just cruising and doing hover enteries I get 12+ mins.
