Default Need advice on what to buy

Hi all
I am looking to get a 3D electric. I have viewed a few sites out there with combos and don't know what to get - I have seen the Slick from http://www.m-a-e.com/index.htm - they offer a combo for $200 - another site, http://www.fancyfoam.com, offer a combo for $349 and the other one was http://www.insanefoamies.com/forsale/main.swf with a combo for $299.
I guess my question is which one is the best value for money?
The slick is only 27" wingspan whereas the others seem to be 36". I would be doing my flying outdoors in Florida - winds are usually around 10 to 15 m/h.
I want something that will do all the 3D stuff. I did see the Tensor 4D but there is no combo and I have no idea what kind of motor or batteries to get.
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

personaly (but i am bias)

plane from www.3dfoamy.com i like the katana and su26 $30 for FFF or $40 in depron

balsa products www.balsapr.com
brushles CDR outrunner and esc for $55 21oz of thrust on 3 cell Lipo. GOOD bang 4 buck.
also 4 x bluebird servos, about $55
Reciever say $25
say 3 cell 1200mah lipos ..... about $45

so for about $210 you have a Brushles set up with lipos.

but the Slick does look like a pretty good combo deal 2.
as i said i'm bias towards 3dfoamy

if you ask me, www.insanefoamies.com has excellent kits. i cant speak for the others, but they have great equipment for about the the same price you are going to find anywhere else. their customer service is good also.

i will say the same with the www.insanefoamies.com planes.
i love the extra. i got 76 1/2 flights on it.
my edge only got 13 because we did the indoor thing with a mid air happy person.
they both flew great.
i love the construction and how they can take a lickin.

the combo is awsom with every thing you need in one box.

Thanks everyone for your input - I think I am going to go with the insanefoamies. Want to keep the budget down to $300 and it looks like the combo is complete.

good choice.
id recamend the extra or katana.
i loved my extra.
you will love the directions scence they are on a cd.
it makes it nice someone talking you through it if its your first foamy.

the other thing i have found cg is a big factor on the insane foamies because you can move the cg forwand a little and do more percice monavers because they track stright. they will still 3d in this forward cg but if u move it to the stock location its a mean machine.

I agree w/ flip, good choice.

Also, Flip, i have the the edge and i was wondering what ure final flying weight was and where u located ure cg. My total weight comes just a little over 13 oz, but that isnt w/ the micro Rx. I dont hav the micro crystal yet, i'll have to search 4 it out when i get home.

i dont weigh my planes. not because i dont want to know how much they weigh its i can aford a good enough scale to weigh it right.
i fly it till it will do a real high alfa rolling herier with out standing stright up. that is were i leve the batt.

i like to move it forward to play with like smoth 3d. the more boring stuff.

I would go with any of the airplanes from Fancy Foam. I own the Edge 540 and have flown the Cap 232. They both are powered with the Himax 4100 and the performance is awesome! Good luck.
