Default Katana Mini

I've been closely looking at the Katana Mini from Atlanta Hobby and need to know what a good, powerful setup would be for that plane. If you own one, what are the electronics you're using? This is my list so far (everything is from Atlanta Hobby.com):
APC 10x6 E-Prop
Hacker A30-22S brushless motor
Hacker X-30 brushless ESC
Thunder Power 2100mAh 3-cell li-po
Hitec HS-55's all around
Hitec 6in. Y-Harness
(2) Hitec 12in. servo ext.
Castle Creations Berg 4
I may only need 6in. servo ext. but the 12 and 6 are the same price so what the heck. The reciever is really cheap and top quality. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Default RE: Katana Mini

Get the Torque 2830 motor instead, or at least the A30-28S. The 22S has too high of a KV. I run the Torque 2830/1080 and love it. Get an Electron 6 instead of the Berg, or at least a 6 channel receiver. This plane likes spoilerons for harriers. Also, get a APC 11x4.7 SF instead of the 10 incher, to KE well you need at least an 11 in. prop.

If I could do it again I'd get the Himax 2025 and a Cobri gearbox. Then you can turn a 12x6 prop.

Hope I helped!

I'd get this gearbox with a Himax 2025-5300 or Hacker B20-L. It's made for the Katana Mini (by precision Aerobatics) and only weighs 14 grams.

I've heard of several people bending the shaft on that one, and replacements aren't easilly available in the US.

Cojim14, you PMed me about my setup.

Torque 2830-1080
APC 11x4.7 SF
Integy 3S 2100
4 HS-55
Hitec Electron 6
Phoenix 35
Enlarged rudder (not tested yet...)

My KM is currently needing repairs. That's what happens when the sun gets in your eyes while doing a rolling harrier only 20 feet up....

Atlanta Hobby suggests the 2830/1095 instead of the 2830/1080. Is there much of a difference performance-wise?
