Default E-Flite Park 370 and Esskay 400 XT

Well, I'm all about foamies. I usually use hyperions but I'm in the middle of building an Ikarus F3a and I'm in a motor dilemma. Will the Park 370 pull this plane with enough authority for some decent 3d? I'm sure the 400 XT will, heard great things about it, afterall it's only $20. I'm thinking about using the 400 XT on my Tensor and using the 370 on the F3A. What do you guys who have the 370's think of them?

Forgot to add that I already have both but couldn't pass up the deal I had on the 370.

well i have a 370 1080kv on my QQ byp yak and it weighs 12 ounces with battery and it pulls it very well!!!! i think the esskay will be too heavy for both planes. i have had one and it's a heavy motor. i've had several f3a's and use the axi 2204/54 on it and has planty of power for 3d outdoors!!! and the axi has less power than the 370. if it's any help to you!!!

derek, I have taht exact setup (f3a and eflite 370) and believe me, you will have more power than you will have the guts to use. I only go full power nose up for a very brief moment. It fells like the engine ill fly off the frame. You will be amazed. This little engine is stronger than my axi 2208/34. And my F3a is on the heavy side, 330 grams with eflite 20a esc, 600mah 3s lipos, 3 hitec 55 and gws 6 ch rx.

Good to see the general consensus on this motor is good. Nobody down here flies the 370 on their shocky's or flatouts. They most all run the rimfire. Got the park 370 and the e-flite 20a controller for $20 brand new (buddy getting deployed) so I had to help him out :0Þ.

The Rimfire and Park370 are basically the same motor. I've seen both, and used the Rimfire, and I think the Rimfire is better.

better than the original.
it came in at 14.5 with 3s 900mah, rimfire cl-8 and 3 hitec 55's.didnt cut down the ailiron surfaces, and linked them together with left over hardwear from previous kits. a little heavy for slow 3d but verry stable and will tr in hover all day
