Default GP Turmoil

I have a GP turmoil with a rimfire brushless motor and the bl-8 esc. it also came with a 11.1volt 640mah lipo and it flies great but the flight time is like 5 minutes. I was wondering if anybody knew of a good lipo that weighed less then 2.3 ounces because that is the max weight for the battery that i want and GP says it should be that or less. So if anybody knows of a good lipo please leave a post.
Thanks,
Dave

i used a 1320. the plane weighs 12.5 ounces. i have motor problems, but i did get 2 flights out of it so far. it flies great like that. it doesn't float through harriers and rolling harriers great, but it flies fine. i would actually look for something arond 900 mah for this plane, if i wasn't already using what i had.

I also use the 1320. It flies good with it, but I use the VPP system on it from great planes. I have only a few flights on it but the speed controller smoked. I have no idea what caused that. I am using the one they suggest for the VPP motor. I was flying forward, with maybe 1/2 throttle when it went. The plane flies pretty good though. My only gripe is that it cracked right in front of the wing all the way around the fuse. It had to be from the torque but who knows. Easy fix. Least I noticed it on the ground and it didn't cause a crash. I bought a few extras last time I ordered. $20 for that kit is a steal. Once you get used to the hokey hinges, they are easy to build.

I had the same combo and got more like 8-9 minutes. Not much full-throttle stuff though... I got an 840MA from Dymond (It is by my house) and it is lighter than the smaller MA Electrify lipo that comes with the Flatouts- (All it says is made in Korea [X(])

I much prefer the Charger RC foamies or Shockflyers to the Flatouts--

I'm using Impulse power 900 mah 3s pack. It flys great! It had great slow speed performace. I also tryed 1320 but I'm scared to use it with BL-8 ESC because... 13 continous discharge on 9 amps surge currecnt (ESC) well... I think that could have been the problem for your ESC. With my 900 pack I get flight times around 12-15 minutes, of course I'm going quite hard on the pack because its so hard to stop lol! I have tried the 1320 pack several times and I've got flight times around 20 minutes.

I think around 900 is the best for the turmoil good balance between capacity and weight. On another note my 640 lasts between 8 and 12 minutes, but I very rarely fly full throttle, then again there is no need to.
