Thanks a lot for the info. The thing is I dont really live in miami. I am a pilot and spend a lot of time there but I live and fly Rc in Bogota, Colombia. There is no one there who flyies 3D well enough to anybody else, so what I need is a video, or book that can explain the basics.

Thanks a lot,

colmo

Oh yes there is....

There is a local club in Bogota that can hook you up. Quite a few of their pilots are flying 3D gas planes like the big QQ yaks. Im sure someone there can help you out.

First buy this book-

Mastering RC Flight
http://www.rcpilotguide.com/

Then Get a Simlator. FMS will harldy cut it. The Cheapest will be $30 + the PC Transmitter. This
is what I use.
http://rcflightsim.com/

Or AFPD, G3 ~ $200 with Controller included.

For the Model, I use Gorilla Glue, not as light as UHU but a LOT stronger. DON"T use CA for the entire plane, too brittle. Only for
plastic to foam.

Might want to conscider an EPP Plane from SloFly
http://slofly.com/cart/index.php?cPa...6e8fa6c652e99e

I would Not recommend a Flatout. I have no experience with E-Flight models, but they look good.

Anything from Hobby-Lobby should be great..

I liked the Yak-55 and It's on sale for $19

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/yak55.htm

and get an Esskay Outrunner for $19

The More Batteries you can buy the better.
I just ordered some commonsenserc.com 15c 700Mah 3 Cells for $24 each.
Get one of there $30 Balencers too, or if you need a Charger they have a Charger/balencer for $100
Or You might want to try the Thunder Tiger Por-Lites. Heard good things but never used them.

Couple different props, 8.3.8, 9.3.8

Get good Servos. I bought some E-Flight S75 's and they are a little too slow.
I'll be buying only the Futaba S3110 , same price but a lot better IMHO.

I used to live in Orlando, and there is a Hobby Shop Mega, Mega store there called Graves RC.
It's far but check it out, best hobby Shop i've seen anywhere and I've traveled the Country while working.

Slowley reduce the Expo on the Rudder. Start around 40% and can hover around 40-45 degress. Keep Lowering it till it's a zero and you can hover vertically. Start high up, enough to pull out of a mistake.

Then Pratice, Practice and more Practice.

NOTHING CAN BEAT PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. A simulator will save you money in the long run. Try maneuvers such as hovering and torque rolling a little bit higher to give you some extra reaction time. Foamies are much cheaper than gas planes, dont give up and let # 4 rip. Every one makes mistakes even the pros. 3DAP
