Congrats.

You are going to love the plane. Which color scheme did you go with.......I am guessing red

I have a purple one waiting to be put together. But I may have just jumped a 55" Extra in front of it

I went with Purple. I needed a change. Everybody, including me, has red planes coming out of their ears. I am going to use the pull-pull system that is included with it. It will be here tomorrow, and will be flying on Thur. or Friday.

Right on, another Purple Beast is going to be loose I really liked the Purple Scheme, for the same reasons, just needed something out there and different. I probably won't be able to get to it until Spring of next year, now that I am tackling the 55" Extra SHP Project.

I've gotta get it done now because I have an H9 150 P-47, GP Giant Aeromaster, and a KMP Stuka coming down the shoot. Not to mention my Hobbico Sukhoi 60 that I am still tinkering with.

Finally maidened my Yak. This thing is sweet and it flies like a dream. I did a have a problem with the air thrust blowing through the plane and making the canopy ride up. I have a few magnets left from an Ultimate I will put in there and see if that holds it.

Check your cooling vent cut-outs vs. the manual.

There is also a Canopy/Hatch latch that goes in as a clean little install. Completely eliminates the chance of the canopy blowing off.

I cut out the air hole in the back but I didn't use the baffle that came with it. I don't want to have to cut it back out when the summer comes back.

Are you talking about the Dubro Hatch latch? I actually have some.

adchobbystore.com is a good outfit to get 3D Hobbyshop stuff and related equipment. His recommended package has worked great for me.

No, there is a pic at the bottom. It is a 3DHobbyShop Hatch Latch. I am not familiar with the DuBro, maybe it will work as well?

I got my Yak from ADC hobby Store about a half hour ago. I was supposed to get it tomorrow, so this is a pretty nice surprise. Everything was packed well and came in good shape. Good, fast service.

Man, everything 3DHS does is beautiful. This is going to be another one of these planes like the Katana that is so nice I will be afraid to fly it for fear of putting a nick in it.
