TeNsOr 4D -setup questions
I am on the edge of ordering, or should i say i have my "shopping cart" already filled, with a Tensor 4D and various accessories for this plane.
My question is on the setup. What motor would you use? I want one of the new park 370 motors but dont know the advantage of the 2 Kv ratings, more rpm per volt or fewer rpm's per volt. Im fly my Big gas 3d planes and had a Formosa(himax, Thunderpower, etc)-and various other Gws planes and a flying wing(viper twin). Thats about the extent to my electric background. I really wanted something that i can practice a little 3d with in the backyard and the tensor 4d fit my ticket, i have flown the Ultimate from E-flite and really liked it, i just like the "new tech" on the Tensor that might make things a little "funner". So far i have what my friend had on his Ulimate, super small servo's(.27 oz a piece) with 17oz torque(Futaba). I still cant decide betweent the two E-flite outrunners, dont know which would perform better for this application. I also wonder about the battery situation, should i go with a 2cell 1320 mah Lipo(Thunderpower series 2 10-12c nominal and a 15c surge) or the smaller 3 cell 830(or 860, cant remember, with the same c rating as the 1320's) . My question really is how will this setup fly?And also what prop would make this perform well and keep the amps in the recommended range of the PH-10. 3 x 3108 Submicro Futaba Servo's Pheonix 10 Lite Speed E-Flite Park 370 Outrunner 1320Kv Thunder Power 2cell 1320 mah Lipo(series II 10-12c) The rest of the stuff wont make a difference, i have a small Hitec Feather reciever that i could transfer to this, I like that reciever better than my GWS recievers i once had. Just want to know if that setup will give me a good performance. Nealio |
RE: TeNsOr 4D -setup questions
Check George Hicks' forum. He's got all kinds of info on the different kv motors, props, batteries, etc. for the Tensor.
