GWS 3D Moth??
I am almost done putting together my GWS Tiger Moth 3D. I have to say it has been my best foam build yet. The kit is pretty well laid out and goes together like a charm. The only things I have done different so far is to use my own foam safe glue in place of the slow drying GWS stuff and I used small plastic mini hindges in place of the card ones from the kit.
I'll be starting with the stock 350 motor but may eventually try a brushless. Has anyone had experience with this plane that could help me avoid any mistakes/problems? I noticed the center of gravity detail is not included in the manual. |

I am having the same problem with c/g location.
I put a himax 2015 brushless with a 3 cell li-poly. goes virtical just fine but the. |
RE: GWS 3D Moth??
I have to say I have abandoned the 3D Moth in favor of a Tensor and another no-name 3D biplane I have built. Both are a bit smaller but more sturdy. Durability was an issue with the 3D Moth for me. I had broken the elevator early on and later broke different areas of the wing. All repaired easily with CA and tape but I have not had any breakage on my others despite some rough action.
I also never seemed to connect with the 3D Moth. |
RE: GWS 3D Moth??
I have the same problem with Gasamm ... mine only took of a few times and it crashed, I gave it away, just something about the plane. I want to see what my friend can do with it. I have flown many foamies but that one I could not connect with at all.

RE: GWS 3D Moth??
Hello, I also just finsished the Moth 3d, everything went together great except for the top wing. Seems to be slightly warped on both sides, Did you have any similar problems? Have you got it in the air yet?
