RE: 3D Tricks

you might want rates on for this one, but here's how I do it with 30degrees on everything.

From full power level flight pull up to 45 degrees, roll right to knife-edge, wait a second or two, then apply full left aileron, full right rudder and full down elevator, and hold.

The plane should yaw until its vertical while spinng about the CofG, kinda like a waterfall, but all the time sliding to the right.
Try to see how long you can keep it in the tumble, and how many gasps you get from the gallery.

In a good head wind, pull up into a big loop almost stalling at the top, then crankin what ever it takes to do a flat spin using the wind to blow you back . It should look like someone through it like a Frisbee. Cool move, been doing with gassers for years, tried it with my FoamtanaS and my jaw hit the floor. Three revolutions and no altitude loss. Then time the exit and finish the loop.. I call it the Frisbee, but its really an avalanche with a twist.

I like to pull stright up into a hammer head give full down, full right rudder, Maybe 1/4t power. Thats how I do a knife edge spin. Then you can tweak it out with full left aileron full right rudder and finish with a flat spin to the ground. Be sure to pull out! LOL.

RE: 3D Tricks

I really expected this thread to fly[:o] I just tried your trick flyboy, pretty nice.

One more little trick I like is the "90 degree turn the hard way", While in harrier KE and you what to make a turn 90 degrees left, your banked left, crank a little more rudder till it stops then a little down, do a 180 flat turn/spin (or as many as extra revolutions you like) then roll back into the KE harrier going the direction you what. I have a big foamy and it looks so poetic.

RE: 3D Tricks

Just remebered another one:
Full power 45 upline again,
half roll right to inverted,
immediately rebound roll left, applying full left aileron, left rudder and down elevator(sound familiar ;))
left the plane do one waterfall style rotation then,
as the nose comes back up to the vertical move the rudder full to the right.

The ensuing cartwheel looks kinda like a multi-turn stall turn but again its moving to the side until it drops out.

Enjoy. :D

PS, before he finds out (:)), I'd better give the credit for these moves to GREG POE, full-size Edge 540 pilot, who was kind enough to share them with me. Cheers greg.
