Actually the stock motor provides plenty of power for hovers vertical pullouts and just good old 3d. Just do everything they tell you too do including battery size and you will be quite happy.

I have the 650 and am quite dissappointed..... I bought it to use in 15oz or so foamies and it barely holds them in the air...
it may work for a much lighter plane, like a shocky, but for my 15 -16oz planes I now use a Hacker A20 |

I went with you set up/ I just wanted to know about the mounting stick. Do i need to add one as well if i want to use the motor??

If you want to use the cowl you will find that it is too high when mounted to the stock mount stick. My concern was that it raised the thrust line higher than the geared motor setup. Don't know if that makes a difference. I figured that was where they had it so thats what I would do. Joe
